PÓRTICOS. From Apocalypse to Glory

During the Romanesque and Mozarabic times, in Castilla y León the foundations of the musical tradition of the West were laid, linked to the cult of the Patron Santiago.

Pórticos: from Apocalypse to Glory, is a sound dialogue with art through the iconographic representations of the Apocalypse of Saint John present in codices and temples of the Hispanic Middle Ages. Live music that uses replicas of the instruments of the Beato de San Miguel de la Escalada or the sculptural ensemble of the Pórtico de la Gloria - to name two examples - and will allow us to be surprised and marvel at the sound and the presence of harmonies from a past that it is historical presence.

A concert that follows in the footsteps of Santiago el Mayor through Castilla y León so that the spectator becomes a pilgrim who seeks to rest in the sonorous shadow of the porticoes.
