LITERARY TRAVEL

The voice and the rhythm of the word

A minstrel dressed in the old style (hat with plume, florentine doublet, ferreruelo, calzas and high boots) is in charge of leading the viewer through a literary journey from the 12th century to the 17th century and of performing actorally and musically - with instruments of era- a select poetic repertoire that illustrates the different poetic movements: minstrelsy, clergy, courtesy, etc.

To confer more plausibility to the proposal and as a complementary element to the declamation and dramatization of the poems, the minstrel plays musical instruments linked to the historical epoch in which the poems are born.

Without the minstrels, the Romance languages would not exist as we know them today. They consciously used them in their shows and contributed to the diffusion and unification of the language, awakening the interest of educated classes towards the vulgar language. The first poetry was born to be sung and recited. The minstrel is an essential actor to return all the meaning and intensity to the verse of the parents of the language.
